Catholic Schools Inspection
Sacred Heart underwent its Catholic School Inspection on Wednesday 17th to Thursday 18th October 2024 under the new national framework. The inspection was carried out by inspectors who focused on three key areas:
1) Catholic Life & Mission
2) Collective Worship
3) Religious Education
We were judged to be 'Outstanding' in the 3 areas of the inspection and we believe the written report fully captures our school's ethos and culture.
Some of the things the inspectors said about the school were:
• Catholic life and mission permeates the entire school. The school’s values of ‘honesty, resilience, respect and kindness’ are engrained in daily life at Sacred Heart
• Pastoral care is exceptional
• Students wholeheartedly enjoy religious education and show a deep appreciation for their teachers for how they make their learning relevant, meaningful and relatable to their own lives
• Students show a genuine appreciation for all that their school offers them
• The behaviour of students is exemplary both in lessons and around the school
• The relationships created with students and their families are life changing
• Students are deeply devoted to offering themselves to God through individual prayer, periods of reflection and community worship.
