Library

Welcome to Sacred Heart School Library

The Library is open every day from 8:00am to 5:30pm and is a quiet place for all students to come to study, complete homework or sit and read their favourite book.

The Library has a fantastic collection of fiction books and non-fiction books to support study and independent research, and magazines related to their A-Level subject choice, the library also has 18 computers and 32 laptops available to students throughout the day and after school. The reference section includes specialist encyclopaedias and dictionaries. Booklets on local libraries are also available. Provisions are made for home language materials for pupils of whom English is not their first language. Suggestions for additions to stock are always welcome for students and teachers.

The library book trolley can be hired to classes for various different subjects and for reading lessons.

The library operates a new computerised library system called the Reading Cloud. Students have their own unique login. Reading Cloud has an app that students can access via their smart phones or tablets called iMLS. Click on the link to view the help guide.
