Welcome to the Science Department
The Science department is made up of eight very experienced teachers and one technician.
We have six science laboratories one of which is designated for SEN science lessons. Practical work is a vital part of all science lessons and many topics are taught through project-based learning.
KS3
Pupils follow an Applied Science key stage 3 course. Lessons are taught through a series of projects and pupils have the opportunity to build up a portfoilo of work which they will complete at the end of key stage three. The marks for each project form a part of pupils' achievement level and link into their rank order.
