RETREATS AT SACRED HEART

God often comes to us disguised as our ordinary lives. Yet sometimes, we are too busy or distracted to notice the divine at work in our lives. Going away or taking time out to seek God and to find oneself is an ancient spiritual practice. By taking time out to reflect and pray, by quietening our busy minds and by slowing down, we open ourselves to the deeper parts of ourselves and allow God's Spirit to speak to us.

Going on retreat is very much part of the Catholic tradition and here in Sacred Heart School we believe that our pupils and staff need time to reflect and pray and just be.

With this in mind, we provide retreat opportunities throughout the academic year. Sometimes we organise a day retreat for a year group or a tutor group to reflect on deeper issues of life and faith. Residential 2/3 day retreats are regularly organised for groups of pupils who wish to participate.

Staff retreat opportunities will also be made available throughout the year so that they too can find an oasis of peace in busy working lives.
