Sacred Heart Catholic School is the only Southwark School to be recognised in the Sunday Times' new Top 500 League Tables, which were recently published by the highly respected national newspaper. It is the second year in succession that Sacred Heart has appeared on the list.

"The Sunday Times rankings differ from the Department for Education's league tables," said headteacher Mr Serge Cefai. "The Sunday Times list is focused on achievement at the ‘higher end', and ranks schools by the number of A-A* and A*-B achieved at A-Level as well as the number of A*-A at GCSE. I'm delighted that, for the second year in succession, we have appeared on this ranking list, as it confirms the superb Sixth Form provision that we have established in a very short space of time.

"Furthermore, it shows that not only do we achieve fantastic A*-C grades, but we also cater brilliantly for the highest achieving pupils in our school. Many of the schools on the Sunday Times list are highly selective in their intake, which makes our achievement, as a comprehensive school, even more impressive."
