Last summer, 36 Year 8 and 2 Year 9 students went to Paris for four days along with Miss Benet, Miss O’Flynn, Miss Macey,
Mr Ashton and Mr Guittet.
On Monday 6th July, we took the coach to Dover in order to cross the Channel on an amazing ferry boat, which we really enjoyed. We arrived in Paris towards the end of the day and headed to the restaurant to enjoy the amazing French food. The locals were really nice to us and made us feel special where we stayed. After a long day of travelling, we went to bed to rest in order to be ready for the rest of the week.
On Tuesday, we went to central Paris to view some of the most touristic Parisian sites.
We started by climbing the stairs of the Eiffel Tower, which promised to be very enjoyable but also active - 500 stairs!
We then headed to Notre-Dame Cathedral to have an insight of its history and enjoy the overview of Paris.
Finally, late in the afternoon, we headed towards the Champs-Elysées to do some shopping and also admire the Arc of Triumph, which made it very special as if it the most visited avenue in the world!
On Wednesday, we went to Disneyland Paris to enjoy some of the best attractions, including the roller-coasters as well as the water
rides and plenty of good food. On our last day, on Thursday, we went through the capital city one last time to take pictures and admire once more, the beauty of the city of lights and love before then heading back to London.
Overall, all pupils had an amazing time and were still talking about the trip six months later as having been a very special experience indeed!
