AS Art study visit The Courtauld Institute
On Saturday 12th September AS Art pupils took part in a workshop at The Courtauld Institute of Art at Somerset House called Investigating History of Art.
Pupils learned how to analyse the composition of paintings and deduce meaning from the different objects in the paintings. Johanne Cisse explained how painters work and build up from simple sketches to masterpieces, she felt that she had learned that one needs patience to build up to a good piece of work. Well done to Prince Ugorji, Julia Nti, Jenny Tran and Thora Paul for giving up their Saturday.
